Federal Government Declares August 24, 25 as Diaspora day

The Federal Government on Thursday in Abuja pronounced August 24 and 25 as Diaspora Days to perceive Nigerians in Diaspora as critical partners in national improvement. This announcement issued by Mrs Ibukun Odusote, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the
Secretary to Government of the Federation. The announcement said the days were situated aside to make a domain for cross preparation of thoughts among the Diaspora specialists and their Nigerian partners. It trusted this would prompt proffering answers for a percentage of the country's formative difficulties. As per the announcement, the 2015 Diaspora Day festivity will be stamped with a National Diaspora Day and Conference with the topic, "Diaspora and Nigeria Change Agenda". "It would serve as a stage for dialog, connection and cooperation by Nigerians in Diaspora especially experts who have exceeded expectations in their different fields of attempts as wellbeing, science, game and expressions, among others. "The occasion, slated to hold at the State House Conference Center, Presidential Villa, Abuja, will be proclaimed opened and shut by President Muhammadu Buhari."
