La saga cinematográfica se acabó en el 2011.

The expected play about childhood's most famous magician of contemporary literature, Harry Potter premiere in London in the summer of 2016, announced his creator, JK Rowling.

Through his Twitter account, the writer confirmed that 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' ('Harry Potter and the damn kid') is performed at the Palace Theatre in London.

JK Rowling revealed that the play will serve to publicize the "untold part" about the life of this character, although he stressed that there is a "prequel" of his novels.

He also stressed that the text will examine the lives of the parents of Harry Potter, Lily and James Potter, before they were killed by Voldemort.

"I will not say much more because I do not want to spoil what I know is a real treat for the fans," Rowling said.

The English writer also would explain in detail why the theater has chosen scenarios to address this stage of the life of Harry Potter.

"To respond to the inevitable (and reasonable!) Question -why Cursed El Niño is not a novel I'm sure when the audience sees the play will agree that it was the only appropriate medium for history," he wrote Rowling on a 'tweet'.

The announcement of the date of the performance of this play matches "a very special day" for the writer, who recalled that today 18 years of the publication of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' is met, the first installment of a saga of seven novels that have sold about 500 million copies worldwide.

In 2013, Rowling already announced it was working with a team of writers led by Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender to bring to the stage the children of Harry Potter.

Two years later, the author confirmed today that the script is not yours, but has left the fist writer Jack Thorne, author of the stage adaptation of 'Let The Right One In'. The director of 'Harry Potter and the damn kid' is John Tiffany, winner of a "Tony" Award for the play 'Once'.
