Hurricane Olaf strengthens in Mexican Pacific coast away

Hurricane Olaf, a Category 1, continued escalation in the Pacific Ocean, but remains far from the Mexican coast, said the National Weather Service (NWS).


Through an information card issued at 10.00 local time (15.00 GMT), the institution reported that Olaf, which became a hurricane category May 1 on the Saffir-Simpson scale this morning, is 2,790 kilometers west-southwest Cabo San Lazaro (Baja California Sur).
